After graduating from Leavenworth High School in 1983, I immediately went into the US Army, where I completed my term of service in 1986. After the Army, I launched my real estate career as an agent, property manager, and sales manager and quickly earned my Designated Brokers License. In 2007, I joined the assessor’s office as a real property appraiser and was soon promoted to analyst, chief appraiser, and then chief deputy in 2012. After being vetted by my peers two times, I was appointed assessor by the County Commissioner in April 2023.
When casting your vote, I ask that you look at the dedication, experience, and ability of each candidate as if you are hiring the best person for the job. Having been involved with the budget process, change isn’t easy. However, the commissioners heard a piece of my vision for the future, were very receptive, and appointed me the assessor. After years of working with fellow assessors at our annual meetings and meeting with elected officials in Olympia, I am the one who fights for lower taxes both locally and statewide. We can’t quit now!
